Went up again today. Instead of following the road up to the gliding club (coming from Pole bank), I cut through the small car park on the right. There is a brilliant down hill section (and and very good view of the surrounding land) but there is also a not so brilliant uphill climb after (not as bad as Mott's road though).
I then followed the rest of the trail without taking a scenic diversion (getting lost).
I also remembered to take a decent camera (just a shame I forgot to charge it before hand!)
